7 top shopping centre student discounts 2020

In previous years, shopping centres across the country have held one-night only student lock-in events. But for obvious social distancing reasons, they’re not being held this year – or at least not yet anyway.

But that doesn’t have to stop you bagging a bargain. If there’s one thing that’s not changed is the great discounts and perks you can get simply for having student status.

Below are just some of the shopping centres in the UK offering student exclusive events and discounts. So, grab your student card and get shopping!

1. Bullring & Grand Central – Birmingham

If you’re a student in Birmingham it’s time to make your way to the UK’s largest city centre based shopping centre. You can make savings on top brands in fashion and beauty as well as enjoying exclusive discounts in the restaurants. Keep an eye on the Student Offers page for the latest offers and discounts available to students.

2. Cabots Circus – Bristol

There’s no dedicated student night this year, but the city’s biggest shopping centre still has plenty of deals for students over the coming weeks and months. Whether it’s up to 25% off your favourite food and sweet treats or up to 20% off the latest fashion trends and even a chance to win a Semester’s supply of free food, there’s sure to be a discount that takes your fancy. 3. St David’s – Cardiff

In place of the usual mass student lock-in event, St David’s are launching the Student Festival Fortnight. Basically, from Monday 21st September 2020 until Sunday 4th October students can enjoy discounts and exclusive offers in their favourite shops and food outlets in the centre. Students will need to register to gain a pass for the event and in doing so, will also be entered into a prize draw.

4. Victoria Centre – Nottingham

Calling all Nottingham students. For one week only you can take advantage of lots of discounts and offers from your favourite retailers at the intu Victoria Centre’s Student Shopping Week. The discounts will be available from 10am on Monday 5th October 2020 until 6pm on Sunday 11th October. Plus, if you register your details with the Victoria Centre, you can be in with a chance of winning a pair of Apple AirPods.

5. Drake Circus – Plymouth

As with all the shopping centres listed above, Drake Circus has a host of shops and food outlets offering exclusive discounts off purchases for students. From River Island and Superdry to Waterstones and Paperchase; there’s a discount for you.

But what’s more, it’s not just shopping you can save on. If you fancy a low-cost activity, head to Paradise Island Adventure Golf and you can save on the cost of both the 18 and 36 hole courses.

6. Meadowhall – Sheffield

Whether it’s food or fashion, you’re sure to make a saving if you hit the shops at Sheffield’s leading shopping and leisure destination. Enjoy a tasty 25% off your food at Las Iguanas, take 20% off your purchase at Topshop and Topman, cut the cost of those new shoes with 20% off in Clarks – plus many more discounts.

7. Westquay – Southampton

Head to Southampton’s top shopping destination, Westquay, and make the most of saving money on some top fashion brands such as Hollister and Levi’s or cut the cost of your food bill at outlets including The Real Greek and Thaikun.
