Getting ready for uni? So are we. The Foundry, Leeds opening Sept 2017.
From Liverpool and London, to Exeter and Birmingham, we already have properties in 14 UK cities for you to enjoy hassle-free student living in. But we’re not stopping there. We’re adding even more cities to the list; including Leeds, ready for you to make it your home in September 2017…
It’s no secret. Leeds is a fantastic city to live and study in as a student. There are countless bars, restaurants, and vibrant music scenes to keep you entertained all night long, and top-end shopping districts so you can shop until you drop. But Leeds also has great history and culture. Did you know Jelly Tots were accidentally discovered in Leeds in 1967? Scientist Brian Boffey, from Horsorth, was trying to produce a powdered jelly that sets instantly when added to cold water. And his end result was Jelly Tots. Tasty.
That’s the city. What about the student accommodation?
Host The Foundry, Leeds
Our student accommodation in Leeds, is being built from the ground up as we speak. The brand new building – named The Foundry, is made up of 239 bedrooms. They’ll be a combination of en-suite bedrooms arranged in shared flats of 3-7 bedrooms, and also spacious studio apartments for more independent living.
Host The Foundry will feature a number of stylish and comfortable on-site facilities and social areas for you to enjoy. These include a games room, a cinema room, a gym, an outdoor leisure area, a common room and a study area.
If you’re wondering where The Foundry is located, you’ll be pleased to hear it’s situated right in the heart of Leeds – in a very popular student area. The University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University are only a 10 minute walk away; so you’ll have no excuses for being late for lectures. And the city centre’s night life and shopping facilities are just a short walk away, but if you don’t fancy walking, the city has excellent bus services – with a stop right across the road.
Host The Foundry development will open to students in September 2017. Visit our website to view all locations where Host has student accommodation. You can also follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the latest updates.

Getting serious about the environment we live in.
To become more ‘environmentally friendly’, Host is launching the #HostEnvironmentalPledge campaign to encourage responsible behaviour and drive sustainability across our sites throughout the UK and Ireland.
It’s a simple campaign! If we can reduce our overall utilities (electric, water and gas) consumption by 1% then we will donate £10,000, 2% reduction means £20,000, 3% is £30,000 and so on, to 3 charities; BulliesOut, Planet Patrol and World Land Trust.Show me all news
