Host celebrates Pride Month 2021

We have had a lot of fun over the last few weeks celebrating Pride Month across our Host sites, including Host Student Apartments, Shand House, The Hub, and Lace Market Studios. Every Pride Month, we always want to spend this time with positivity and fun, but above all, inclusivity.

This year’s Pride Month may not have had the same level of fanfare. But that hasn’t stopped people celebrating in ways that are meaningful to them.

Take a look at how some of our locations have taken part this month by decorating their reception and common areas and giving out pride themed goodies!

If you celebrated with us, please share with us on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!

A closer look at some of our Pride Month themed reception areas, decorating with colourful bunting, balloons, flags and hanging spheres.

Some sweets and chocolate ready for students to pass by and pick up, which probably didn’t last too long.

At Hope Street Apartments in Liverpool they even had some T-shirt designing going on. With some really creative designs being made. Amazing job to everyone who took part!

And some very fabulous accessories.

We hope everyone had fun this Pride Month. Until next year!

We want to share some resources that you may find helpful, remember that you can reach out for support through your university: Student MindsGLAADthebeyouproject

#HostEnvironmentalPledge.
Getting serious about the environment we live in.

To become more ‘environmentally friendly’, Host is launching the #HostEnvironmentalPledge campaign to encourage responsible behaviour and drive sustainability across our sites throughout the UK and Ireland.

It’s a simple campaign! For every percent we reduce our overall utilities (electric, water and gas) consumption by we donate to one of our nominated charities.
