One of the oldest higher education institutions in the UK. The University of Chester has existed since 1839, when it was founded by such pioneers as the great 19th-century prime ministers, William Gladstone and the Earl of Derby, and a former Archbishop of Canterbury.
The university was the first purpose-built teacher training college in the UK and is based in five campus sites in and around Chester and one in Warrington.
Home to over 10,000 full time students, the university’s academic departments are grouped into seven distinct faculties, from Arts and Media to Dentistry and Life Sciences. While a modern, flexible approach helps students to tailor their learning to their interests. Chester has over 420 course combinations on offer across a variety of courses, which range from Animation to Zoo Management.
Host – Fontessa House is a 7 minute walk from the Parkgate Road campus, 15 minutes from Kingsway and Riverside campus sites and 20 minutes from the university’s Queen’s Park campus.
All dedicated to you.
We’re proud to have won some awards. But hopefully they mean something to you too. Because the National Student Housing Survey only recognises accommodation based on real student experiences. So the people voting are the ones who live with us. Which means you can pick your Host student home with confidence.
