Who is Planet Patrol?

Planet Patrol is an international movement sitting at the intersection of wellbeing and environment. Planet Patrol’s mission is to ignite and lead behavioural change around polluting litter through community action and citizen science whilst driving industry and political action that serves to protect our planet and wildlife from the harmful effects of single-use litter.

You can also learn more in our recent Spotlight blog.

What’s a clean-up?

Planet Patrol’s clean-ups combine litter picking with lots of different activities. From paddleboarding to plogging (jogging whilst picking up litter), yoga to beach cleans – there is something for everyone. Activities are completely free to join, and all the equipment is supplied. You don’t need experience, just enthusiasm.

Visit the Planet Patrol website for a list of clean-ups near you (keep an eye out for more dates to be added soon). Then all you need to do is sign up to reserve your spot, download the Planet Patrol iOS or Android app and create an account before you arrive.

On the day you’ll help collect rubbish then photograph and log your plastic haul on the app. And of course, have some active fun!

So, what are you waiting for? Get active, get involved and help our environment!

Are you passionate about the environment? Do you want to be a green champion and help us on our quest to reduce energy? Email us at info@host-students.com – we’d love to hear from you!
