Nottingham Trent
University
Nottingham Trent University (NTU) was granted university status in 1992, NTU offers over 500 different degree programmes to around 23,000 full time students across three campuses (City, Clifton and Brackenhurst), overseen by nine different academic schools. The university was named Modern University of the year in the Times Good University Guide 2018. NTU is ranked as the third most cost-effective university in the UK.
A £350 million investment in recent years has led to significant developments in NTU’s estate, including the regeneration of two Grade II* listed buildings, Newton and Arkwright, which include a glazed centre court with walk-round balcony, cafes, deli-bars and student services. The university’s campus quadrangle, located next to the building where silicone was invented by Frederick Kipping, provides a quiet space for students to work and relax.
In 2022 the university ranked 45th in the Complete University Guide.
