Established in 1900, the University of Birmingham is a world-leading research institute. A founding member of the Russell Group and one of the world’s top 100 universities, the university is acknowledged for its commitment to providing outstanding teaching, having been awarded a Gold rating by the Teaching Excellence Framework and producing some of the most employable graduates in the country, being ranked 5th in the UK for Graduate Prospects in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018.

The university was ranked 19th in the Complete University Guide for 2022 and 90th in the world in the QS World University Rankings for 2021.

The university is home to 30,000 full time student and also has one of the largest international student populations in the UK – over 5,000 students from over 150 countries.
