University of
Southampton

A founding member of the Russell Group of research-intensive universities in Britain, the University of Southampton was founded in 1952, although its origins date back to 1862.

Home to over 24,000 full time students, it’s the largest university in the South East region of England. The university comprises five faculties: Arts and Humanities, Engineering and Physical Sciences, Environmental and Life Sciences, Medicine, and Social Sciences.

Southampton is a comprehensive university offering a choice of more than 300-degree programmes across a wide range of subject areas. The university is at the forefront of pioneering cancer immunotherapy research, and its engineering research is pushing the boundaries of performance sport with the help of large-scale facilities such as wind tunnels and towing tanks.

In 2022 the university was ranked 14th in the Complete University Guide.

Southampton Crossings is just a 20 minute bus ride or 40 minute walk from the university’s main Highfield campus.

Our awards.
All dedicated to you.

We’re proud to have won some awards. But hopefully they mean something to you too. Because the Global Student Living Index only recognises accommodation based on real student experiences. So the people voting are the ones who live with us. Which means you can pick your Host student home with confidence.
