#AtHomeWithHost

As we progress through the second week of lockdown, adjusting to this new way of living hasn’t been easy. Hands up who’s starting to feel bored already? Yep, us too!

Even with the best intentions to continue studying, there’s only so much reading, researching and writing you can do before you hit a wall and begin to lose focus. We all need a break after all.

So, to help fill your time and keep you occupied in between studying and binge-watching Netflix, we’re bringing to you the #AtHomeWithHost campaign.

What is #AtHomeWithHost all about?

You’re probably aware by now that the latest advice from the Government is to #StayHome and avoid going out unless it is absolutely essential.

That’s why over the coming weeks, whilst we’re all stuck in isolation, we’re bringing you a whole host of activities you can get involved with – right from the comfort of your student home!

From online quizzes to weekly challenges, we’re hoping to bring a little fun to your day and help keep boredom at bay. In addition to activities and challenges for you to take part in, we’ll also be sharing lots of tips and advice for coping during these unusual times.

How to get involved

We’ll be posting all updates via our news page and social media channels, so be sure to keep an eye out for the latest information. If you’re not already following the main Host accounts, you can find us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter using @hoststudentsuk.

But it’s not just about us. As well as sharing with us your attempts at the Host challenges, we want you to share with us your own ways of occupying your day. From reading to singing, or dancing to drawing, we’d love to see what you’re doing to keep yourself busy – after all, it could give someone else inspiration to do the same!

All you have to do is share any photos or videos with us via social media by tagging us in them using @hoststudentsuk. And don’t forget to use the hashtag #AtHomeWithHost. We’ll then be able to reshare across our channels!

So, get involved, share your activities and have some fun #AtHomeWithHost!

Getting serious about the environment we live in.

To become more ‘environmentally friendly’, Host is launching the #HostEnvironmentalPledge campaign to encourage responsible behaviour and drive sustainability across our sites throughout the UK and Ireland.

It’s a simple campaign! For every percent we reduce our overall utilities (electric, water and gas) consumption by we donate to one of our nominated charities.
