Right in the heart of England, what was once a hub for manufacturing has become one of the UK’s up and coming student cities. With a population of over 425,000 and 35,000 of those students you’ll be in incredible company. In 2018 the city was named in the top 50 of the best student cities in the world. With a wide range of different cultures and ethnic groups creating a bustling, friendly environment.
Coventry is constantly growing and evolving but the history of the city is always there from the historic cathedral that was destroyed in WW2 to the legend of Lady Godiva. The city’s history stands shoulder to shoulder with brand-new developments for shopping, eating and cultural entertainment.
And when you want to escape, Birmingham is just 20 minutes away and London is within an hour by train. And the awe-inspiring Warwick Castle and Shakespeare’s birthplace of Stratford-Upon-Avon are within easy reach.
Coventry has won the title of UK City of Culture for 2021. Having been awarded the title for its bid to celebrate diversity and the ways migration has shaped the city. Fitting for a city that has rebuilt itself around its diverse university.
