With just a few weeks to go until our brand-new student accommodation, 41 Castle Street in Leicester opens, we thought we’d shed a little light on the latest addition to the Host portfolio.
Built across two blocks (Block A and Block B), with each block standing at three and four floors high respectively, our latest development consists of 129 bedrooms.
Students can choose from one of our en-suite bedrooms in a cluster flat which means they’ll have their own bedroom and bathroom but will share the kitchen and living area with other students; our cluster flats accommodate either five, six or eight students.
If they’re after more of their own space, we have private studios available which as well as their own bathroom, they’ll also have their own kitchen and living area. We also have a limited number of Twodio rooms available; allowing two students to live together in one flat.
On top of the actual living space, 41 Castle Street also offers a variety of social spaces for all residents to enjoy. From study spaces to games tables and a lounge area, there’s plenty of room to unwind, relax and socialise in.
Aptly named for its location on Castle Street, 41 Castle Street is perfectly located for students studying in Leicester. For those studying at De Montfort University, it’s only a 3-minute walk to the university campus.
And when it’s time to relax, there’s plenty of options right on our doorstep. Enjoy some sunshine in the beautiful Castle Gardens, take a stroll along the River Soar or admire the architecture on Castle View.
So, now you know more about 41 Castle Street and where it is, we want to share with you a glimpse into its development.
When we build new student accommodation, we always like to take a few moments to look back at the transformation of the site.
It’s always hard to believe that so much can change in such a short space of time. If we rewind to the start of the year in January, the building was barely off the floor. But little by little, the building soon started to resemble just that; a building.
As we moved into the summer months, it wasn’t just the exterior frame of the building which progressed; the interiors began to take their shape too. With common spaces and bedrooms all being worked on.
Now, with the first students arriving in late September, its full steam ahead to get all those finishing touches complete.
