The Transatlantic Traffords get ready to set sail
It’s almost time for the Transatlantic Traffords to set off on their epic row across the Atlantic as they take on the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge 2018.
Raising money for St Christopher’s Hospice – a hospice in South East London that exists to promote and provide skilled and compassionate palliative care of the highest quality, the Traffords are hoping to beat the previous father and son Transatlantic time of 78 days.
The Traffords flew out to the Canaries and have spent the past week getting in some last-minute rowing. They’ve also been carrying out the final preparations and inspections before they depart.
The Traffords will set off tomorrow (Wednesday 12th December) on their 3,000-mile journey to Nelson’s Dockyard English Harbour, Antigua.
