Here at Host, we’re delighted to announce that we now offer student accommodation in the historical city of Carlisle. Our student accommodation – Denton Holme Student Village, is the perfect place to call home if you’re a student in the city.

Famous for its status as a Roman settlement, the prison of fugitive Mary, Queen of Scots and just a stone’s throw of the mighty Hadrian’s Wall, Carlisle is a city packed with history and heritage. But there’s much more to Carlisle than its past. You’ll find top rated restaurants, a vibrant nightlife and a variety of entertainment venues for a jam-packed student life. And if you fancy a change of scenery, the Scottish border is just 10 miles north of the city.

Carlisle city centre is just a short walk away from Denton Holme Student Village. The University of Cumbria’s Fusehill Street and Brampton Road Campuses are only 20 minutes away; meaning you couldn’t be better located.

So, what’s it like living at Denton Holme Student Village?

Denton Holme Student Village is a friendly and sociable environment for you to enjoy whilst at university. Consisting of 25 stylish town houses – each accommodating either 9 or 12 students. Each house has two or three floors with four bedrooms and two bathrooms on each floor. There’s also one en-suite room available in each 9-bedroom house.

students_in_communal-areaAnd whether you opt for a standard bedroom or an en-suite bedroom, you’ll love the large 3 foot by 7 foot bed to recoup in after a busy day. There’s plenty of storage for all of your belongings. Plus a large study desk and chair for when you need to focus on your work. But it’s not all work. Complete with communal living areas – including a fully fitted kitchen, dining table and sofas, our town houses create a great sociable environment for you to mix with your friends and housemates.

For those sunnier days, there’s plenty of outdoor spaces for you to sit back, relax and enjoy some fresh air in too. Got any questions?
