The benefits of booking semester student accommodation are shorter contract lengths and a whole lot of flexibility. In the UK, term is mostly used instead of the word ‘semester’. The word originates from the USA. Either of the two periods into which a year is divided at a school or university: fall/spring.
Term and semester accommodation allows students to book their accommodation for the dates needed, without having to book for a longer contract length which is traditionally offered.
Semester 1 tends to start around September/October and end in January. Semester 2 starts in January and ends in June/July.
Not all university courses last two full semesters, therefore semester 1 and 2 bookings for accommodation are a great option to suit.
Many language, PhD and Masters courses are shorter in length, and their students equally require shorter length accommodation. Semester bookings are also great for medical students who are working placements and need shorter contracts.
