Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) is a further and higher education university with around 3300 students. In 2012 the institution satisfied the criterion for full university title and changed their name from The Arts University College   It is the second largest university in Bournemouth, with Bournemouth University being much bigger and AECC university College being smaller. Formerly, AUB was known as The Arts University College at Bournemouth and The Arts Institute at Bournemouth and is currently home of Bournemouth Film School.

AUB specialise in art, performance, design, and media, and was awarded Gold in the 2017 Teaching Excellence Framework, a government assessment that judges the quality of undergraduate teaching.  The award noted that graduates received high levels of professional employment. There is one campus which prides itself on its friendly environment and creative community.

Host Bournemouth is only a 14-minute cycle from the university, or a 22-minute bus ride.
