Cardiff Metropolitan
University

Cardiff Metropolitan University was known as the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC) until 2011. Cardiff Met consists of five academic schools: the school of education; health science; management; sport and art and design. The university has over 12,000 students.

The university is split across four campuses all within a three-mile radius of central Cardiff, and facilities include the famous National Indoor Athletics Centre, the National Lawn Tennis Association Centre and a sports centre that allows for the disabled and able-bodied to train together.

Since 2007, £50 million has been spent on developing Cardiff Met, including a £20 million Cardiff School of Management.

Our Shand House site is just a 17 minute bus ride from the university’s Cyncoed campus and 27 minute bus ride from the Llandaff campus.

Our awards.
All dedicated to you.

We’re proud to have won some awards. But hopefully they mean something to you too. Because the National Student Housing Survey only recognises accommodation based on real student experiences. So the people voting are the ones who live with us. Which means you can pick your Host student home with confidence.
