University of
Cumbria
The only UK university with a base in a national park, the University of Cumbria is one of Britain’s newest public universities.
Formed in 2007 by the merger of St Martin’s College, Cumbria Institute of the Arts and University of Central Lancashire’s Cumbria sites, operating from campuses spread across Cumbria and North Lancashire.
The university is home to over 10,000 students and offers courses in STEM subjects, social sciences, sports sciences, humanities, business and economy. It also provides vocational training in education, nursing and social care. Cumbria has the highest number of outdoor study degrees in the UK, taking advantage of its location in the Lake District.
In 2022 the university was ranked 98th in the Guardian university guide.
Our Denton Holme Student Village location is close to both of the university’s Carlisle locations with Fusehill street campus a 25 minute walk and Brampton Road a simple 23 minute bus ride away.
Our awards.
All dedicated to you.
We’re proud to have won some awards. But hopefully they mean something to you too. Because the Global Student Living Index only recognises accommodation based on real student experiences. So the people voting are the ones who live with us. Which means you can pick your Host student home with confidence.
