Are you applying for university for next September? If so, you are probably familiar with UCAS and the application process.
Whilst studying for A Levels at Sixth Form or College is a lot to keep on top of, it is essential to meet UCAS’ key deadlines.
To ensure you send off your application within the correct dates, we have listed the important UCAS application dates for the upcoming year, so you can make a note of them and add them to your calendar. If you are a little unsure with the terminology used check out our UCAS Application Terminology Cheat sheet.
If you are also applying to other Universities and course, you can still apply to the later deadline for those.
We have listed other important dates to keep in mind throughout 2025 during your UCAS application.
If you have used all five choices and are yet to receive an offer, you can add another choice using Extra.
Applications received after this date are moved into Clearing.
Clearing is a system by UCAS and UK universities at the end of the academic year to fill course places that haven’t been taken.
At 8am and not a minute before, UCAS Track will go live and will show the decisions made by your chosen university.

Why not take the time to research where you might like to live if your offers get accepted. You might feel it’s too soon, but it’s always good to know what your options are.
And when it comes to reserving your accommodation, being an early bird can have its benefits. The earlier you book, the more likely you are to snap up your preferred room type and accommodation building; rather than being left with a lack of choice and having to settle for second best.
If you book your student accommodation with Host today, you’ll benefit from the knowledge in knowing if you don’t get your offer accepted or the grades needed, you can cancel your booking and wont have to pay a penny.
