It’s that time of year again; exams are almost over, university is finishing for another year and students up and down the country are starting to leave their accommodation. And let’s face it, packing up your belongings and having to move out is never much fun.
Starting uni? Make Vincent Place your home from home.
We like to think there is a Host for everyone. That’s why we’re busy building student accommodation in even more cities around the UK. We want you to have the best experience at university – no matter which city you decide to study in.
One of our newest developments currently under construction, Host Vincent Place, is located in Southampton. And we’ll be opening the doors to this brand-new, purpose built student accommodation in September 2017. But before then, here’s a little sneak peek at what’s to come…
Host Vincent Place
Built around a vast, working port, Southampton combines modern student living with the benefits of a harbour side location. On land, you’re free to explore the city’s maritime past, extensive range of parks or embrace its contemporary nightlife. Fancy a change of scenery? Venture into the New Forest or jump on a ferry to the Isle of Wight.
Now you know what the city’s like, it’s time to talk accommodation. If you’re searching for a modern and stylish place to call your home while you study, look no further.
Our new development, Host Vincent Place, will accommodate 283 students and will be made up of a combination of apartments that are en-suite and arranged in flats of 4 – 6 bedrooms. For those who prefer more independent living, there’s twodios or spacious studio apartments available – with the same fantastic facilities that are provided in our shared apartments. All rooms have been designed to help you make the most of your time at university and are fully furnished.
But we’re not just about bedrooms. Vincent Place has comfortable amenity spaces for relaxing and socialising with your fellow residents, including a communal common room, fitness suite, study area and a roof terrace to enjoy on those sunny days.
What about university? We’re just around the corner from Southampton Solent University and Southampton City College so you won’t have far to go to get to lectures. And if you’re studying at the University of Southampton you can enjoy the short walk to campus or jump on a bus and arrive there in no time.

Getting serious about the environment we live in.
To become more ‘environmentally friendly’, Host is launching the #HostEnvironmentalPledge campaign to encourage responsible behaviour and drive sustainability across our sites throughout the UK and Ireland.
It’s a simple campaign! If we can reduce our overall utilities (electric, water and gas) consumption by 1% then we will donate £10,000, 2% reduction means £20,000, 3% is £30,000 and so on, to 3 charities; BulliesOut, Planet Patrol and World Land Trust.Show me all news
